Wedding adventures - Part 1

We left Olympia, WA around 6pm Friday, June 18th.  As you can see the 'hot rod' was loaded down pretty good with all of our stuff.  Prior to our departure we joked around about the ability of our trusty steed to make the drive to Wyoming, maybe that was a bad idea...

Saturday morning, about 50 miles outside Missoula, MT we broke down.  We had pulled into a gas station and when the car was put into park it continued to move. After driving around the island a few times without stopping success Matt somewhat kindly informed Melissa to turn the car off.  Duh...  Once the car was turned off it refused to start again.  I feel it should be mentioned that we broke down across from a 'Used Cow Lot', seriously, who knew such a thing existed??

We got a tow back to Missoula, it turned out to be an easy fix and we were back on the road in a couple of hours.  This little setback turned our 13 hr trip into a 24 hr trip, o'well, we made it!

Once in Jackson, WY we were faced with a pile of chores.  We spent the better part of the weekend running around trying to organize things for the wedding before we went on our bike trip through Yellowstone NP.

Monday morning we met with our photographer, Heather Erson (http://www.heathererson.com/) to take some engagement shots.  She and Drew did an AMAZING job.  If you are curious how things turned out you can check out her blog : http://blog.heathererson.com/ .  We cannot wait to see how the wedding pictures look.
